14-inch Makita Electric Chainsaw
A couple of days after, Ramil and I delivered the electric chainsaw as requested by our boat builder, Usop. At this time, Usop also informed us that he will be needing the marine plywoods to be used in the icebox and sidings of the boat. We went straight to the neighboring town, Kiamba, to look for the 3/8-inch Santa Clara Marine Plywood. Unfortunately, it was out of stock in all the construction supply stores there. The demand for this kind of marine plywood was very high and boat builders won't use other brands aside from the Santa Clara.
We decided to look for it in Gensan. As we were on our way home, Ramil caught sight of marine plywoods on display at Wang Construction Supplies store in Calumpang. We stopped at the store and found out that it was indeed the one that we were looking for. We needed to buy 45 pieces of it and we were very lucky enough that they have it in stock.
I was very shocked when I learned that each one costs Php 1,150.00 while other brands of marine plywood costs only over 500 pesos. Surely, the price says enough about its quality. Ramil, not wanting to miss this opportunity, told me that we have to pay for it right away. I immediately grabbed the calculator on the table and computed the amount that we needed. Good enough, I brought with me 50k pesos that time and with it we bought the marine plywoods needed for our boat.
When it was weekend, Ramil and his father delivered the marine plywood together with the Styrofoam to our boatyard with a hired jeep. And when I visited the site again a couple of weeks later, this is how our boat looked like:
Rear view of our fishing boat with few of the marine plywood attached.
Our fishing boat with the 3/8-inch Santa Clara Marine Plywood attached on its sides
Our fishing boat painted with epoxy paint
A peek inside the icebox

Pretty nice, isn't it?
